What a week it’s been for FidgetHaus!
This week, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the National Neurodiversity Show in Glasgow — and what a way to continue the FidgetHaus journey.
It was our first ever event, and to say we were excited (and a little nervous!) would be an understatement. We had no idea what to expect, but the response was beyond anything we could have imagined.
🥹 We SOLD our first-ever FidgetHaus Hoodie!
Seeing people connect with our hoodie in person was such a special moment. What started as an idea to create clothing that supports regulation, comfort and the need to fidget has now made its way into the hands of people who genuinely understand why it matters.
But for us, the most important part of the weekend wasn’t just selling hoodies.
It was the conversations.
💬 The conversations we need more of
One of the biggest things we heard throughout the event was the experience of late-diagnosed neurodivergence.
The stories. The relief of finally understanding yourself. The frustration of wondering why nobody recognised it sooner. The feeling of looking back at your childhood and suddenly seeing things through a completely different lens.
These are conversations we believe we need to have more openly and more often.
There are so many people navigating life without the understanding, support or community they deserve — sometimes for years before they finally discover that they aren’t alone.
Being able to sit down, listen and connect with people sharing those experiences was one of the most meaningful parts of the weekend.
We also loved meeting so many people from across Scotland and beyond.
There was such a strong sense of community, and it reminded us exactly why getting CalmHaus out into the real world matters.
We don’t just want to create products.
We want to create connection, conversation and a community where people feel understood.
